I suspect these started as green gold and were dipped in rose gold at one point in time, which over time gave rise to a really cool pair of gold earrings.The variation in color gives it dimension but you can only tell from up close! From afar , they look like awesome gold star earrings. This color variation is reflected in the price but I honestly thing it's a bonus!
